Welcome to the first Grand Masters Volcanic Tournament in Costa Rica in 2025.
Male players must be 40, female players must be 37 by the end of 2025.
Come and join us for the first Grand Master Volcanic Tournament
Five days and four nights of the best Ultimate fun in the tropical rainforest of Costa Rica.
The tournament will take place from Thursday, January 2 to Monday, January 6, 2025.
The tournament takes place on the well-groomed fields of the Tilajari Resort. The Tilajari Resort is located 30 minutes away from the impressive Arenal Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the world.
After arriving at San Jose's International Airport (SJO)
YOU MUST ARRIVE BEFORE 6 PM on Thursday, January 2.
Included in the $650 tournament fee are:
Four nights of hotel accommodations, airport transfers, tournament jersey, tournament disc, tournament party, breakfasts, visit to a local volcano Hot-springs, and all transportation during the tournament (according to schedule). Fruits and water will be provided at the fields throughout the tournament.

Grand Masters 2025 Schedule:
Wednesday, January 1
Players arriving on Wednesday are encouraged to stay at either Relax Hostel, Hotel Parque del Lago, or Hostel del Paseo in San Jose.
We will hold a pre-tournament party on Wednesday night at Relax Hosel which is owned by a fellow Ultimate Player (famous Mikito). Relax has space for 35 players in bunk beds and is an ideal place to hang out and explore downtown San Jose. Hotel Parque del Lago right across from Relax has private rooms. Hostel del Paseo is 2 blocks from Relax. On Thursday, January 2 we will depart from Hotel Parque del Lago at 8 am.
Thursday, January 2
Players that arrive in San Jose previous to Thursday will depart from Hotel Parque del Lago in San Jose at 8 am
Players arriving on Thursday should arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica (airport code SJO) NO later than 6 PM. A tournament representative will be waiting outside the airport holding an Ultimate disc as a sign.
As players arrive and the tournament buses fill up, we will depart to Arenal Volcano and the tournament resort.
Friday, January 3
6:30 - 9:00 AM- Breakfast
7:30 AM Depart from the tournament resort.
Option 1: ZipLine Rainforest Canopy tour: $90.You need closed shoes and hair ties; if long hair. The tour consists of 13 platforms and 12 zipline cables in the Rainforest canopy.
Option 2: Safari River Float on the Peñas Blancas River: $60. You need shoes that can get wet. This option will offer you the chance to see a lot of wildlife, including monkeys, crocodiles, sloths, toucans, and many other possibilities.
Option 3: Sarapiqui River White Water Rafting-Class II and III: $90. Expert rafting guides will take you on one of the best Costa Rican rivers that combine the thrill of rafting and the amazing surrounding rainforest. Water shoes and a change of clothes are necessary.
Mid-afternoon return to the tournament resort.
3 PM- Meeting at indoor tennis court to go over tournament info, and to announce tournament teams
4 PM- First round of games starts.
Saturday, January 4
6:30 - 9:00 AM- Breakfast
7:30 AM- Games start and continue through the day. Fruits and water will be provided at the field.
8:00 PM- Tournament Party at the resort restaurant
Sunday, January 5
D6:30 - 9:00 AM- Breakfast
7:30 AM- Tournament Bracket Games
3:30 PM- Depart from resort reception for Arenal Volcano Hot Springs.
Monday, January 6
5:30 AM- Early Morning breakfast at the hotel followed by transfer to the San Jose International Airport.
6:30 AM- Buses depart to the San Jose airport.
